Welcome to the blog of Steven Hacker.
Water bottles pop up everywhere these days. One place they should never be seen: podiums and panel head-tables.
Water bottles and coffee containers ruin dozens of otherwise really fine images at every business event. Even the best professional photographer can’t shoot around them. No, Photoshop is not an answer --- at least, not when you have hundreds of images to get to the client quickly.
Event planners make this a rule: Keep water glasses, pitchers, bottles and coffee containers away from or on the inside of the podiums from which your speakers will present. Instruct each panelist that water bottles have been placed on the floor adjacent to each seat. Take a swig when you must but put the bottle back on the floor, not on the head table. Your event photographer will love you for this simple little adjustment and you will get many more fine images.
